What this extension does

Email Validator finds email addresses on web pages and checks if they are real, temporary, or invalid. It highlights emails and shows validation results when you hover over them.

What we collect

When you validate an email (by hovering, clicking "Full Check", or using the popup), the following is sent to our server:

• The email address being checked
• The URL of the page you're on

This information is used only to perform the validation and for basic diagnostic logging.

What we don't collect

• We don't track your browsing history
• We don't collect passwords, personal info, or cookies
• We don't use any analytics or tracking tools
• We don't monitor which pages you visit — only the page where you actively check an email

How emails are scanned on pages

The extension reads page text to find email patterns (like name@example.com) and shows a tooltip when you hover over them. The scan happens in your browser — no page content is sent to our servers. Only the emails you interact with are sent for validation.

Where data is stored

• Your browser: Validation history and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage. We never see this data.
• Our server: Validation requests are logged for up to 30 days for debugging, then deleted. We don't build profiles or link requests to individuals.

Third parties

We don't sell, share, or give your data to anyone.

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted here with a new date.
